Permadec Formwork Panels are primarily used as permanent infill formwork between bridge beams.
Their strength, lightweight composition, durability, and integrated steel reinforcement make them highly versatile — extending their application beyond bridge structures to include platforms, ramps, floors, sewage treatment plants, culverts, jetties, tanks, and capping slabs or roofs.
Permadec Australia offers bespoke panel design tailored to meet specific project requirements. For design support or to discuss your application, contact Permadec on +61 2 9052 4975 or [email protected].

Permadec’s specially designed, self-supporting cantilever panels provide a significant cost and safety advantage by eliminating the need for propping off the side of a bridge or concrete deck structure during construction.
An integrated deck edge upstand removes the requirement for temporary edge formwork. This upstand is custom-designed for each project — typically matching the full deck depth, though it can be manufactured to any specified height to suit the edge detail.
Apertures are incorporated during manufacture to accommodate shear studs, shear links, or other reinforcement details — helping to avoid clashes and delays during installation.
A female socket can also be integrated into the upstand to provide a built-in edge protection solution, allowing for easy attachment of handrails or barriers during construction.
As cantilever panels are highly bespoke, please contact Permadec directly for detailed specifications and design support.

Permadec manufactures specially shaped haunched panels that offer both structural and practical advantages. These panels can be used to reduce the required concrete deck thickness over beams and to create clearance for suspending or avoiding services beneath the soffit.
One benefit of the haunched design is that panels can be installed directly onto the bottom flange of steel beams, reducing the amount of exposed structural steel and simplifying detailing at beam level.
The haunch angle is fully customisable and can be tailored to suit specific project requirements — it is not limited to a fixed geometry.
As haunched panels are highly bespoke, please contact Permadec directly to discuss design options and obtain detailed panel specifications.

Combining a deck panel with a diaphragm panel, Permadec can offer the contractor a complete formwork solution for slab and side concrete pours. The image below shows typical EMJ Permadec Diaphragm panel installed on concrete beams.
As diaphragm panels are highly bespoke, please contact Permadec directly to discuss design options and obtain detailed panel specifications.
