Design Assumptions
1. ETA Values: The ETA values for EOTA TR029 were used in all calculations.
2. Design Standard: The design is based on AS 5216:2021, which is identical to EOTA TR029. The only difference is that AS 5216:2021 uses cylinder concrete strength (f'c) instead of the cube concrete strength specified in EOTA TR029.
3. Anchor Configuration: While the number of anchors is taken as 2 for spacing geometric effect calculations, the resistance is always calculated for a single anchor.
4. Reinforcement: No dense reinforcement is considered in these calculations.
5. Installation Conditions: Category 2 – installation in dry or wet concrete or in flooded hole.
6. Temperature Range: -40°C to +70°C.
7. Seismic Design: No seismic categories are included in this calculation.
8. Splitting and Blow-out Resistance: These resistances are not calculated. The calculation will highlight when these resistances are required.
9. Complex Geometry Cases: Use Sika AnchorFix® Calculation Software for multiple edge distances or for combinations of edge distance and spacing scenarios.
